WSG Tirol is signing Marc Striednig, a defensive midfielder from the Salzburg academy. The Tyroleans are beating out top clubs like Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim for the 20-year-old. According to information from Sky, Striednig has already signed a contract with WSG Tirol. Striednig's contract had expired at the end of the season. Last season, he played 33 games for Liefering and scored two goals. Other clubs like Lecce from Italy had also shown interest in Striednig. However, WSG Tirol was able to secure the young player. Striednig will thus become part of Coach Thomas Silberberger's squad. But the competition in the Bundesliga will also take notice of the young player. So Striednig will certainly be an important player for WSG Tirol in the upcoming season.
