WSG Tirol has recorded another player transfer as Thomas Geris leaves the club. The 23-year-old left-back is moving to Floridsdorfer Athletiksport-Club (FAC) in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga. Geris, who played for WSG Tirol for five years, has signed a contract until summer 2027. The transfer is taking place without a transfer fee, which is advantageous for both clubs. Sporting director Lukas Fischer commented positively on the transfer, emphasizing that Geris perfectly fits the profile they were looking for. Despite limited playing time in the Bundesliga, FAC sees great potential in him. Last season, Geris only made four competitive appearances but accumulated a total of 25 Bundesliga appearances under coaches Thomas Silberberger and Philipp Semlic. The move to Vienna marks Geris' first step outside of Tyrol and offers him the opportunity to develop further in a new environment. WSG Tirol will now look for a suitable replacement to strengthen their defense.
